The Classic Stylophone Sound And So Much More, Right At Your Fingertips
THE PORTABLE STYLOPHONE TOUCH KEYBOARD WITH ENDLESS CONNECTIVE POSSIBILITIES
The classic Dübreq Stylophone sound in cassette size is a pocket-sized synthesizer that packs a mighty punch. The Stylosette brings the Stylophone tone into a versatile and portable form. It’s perfect for those late-night creative sessions when inspiration strikes but you don’t want to lug around a full keyboard.
Add space, depth, and wobble to your sound with built-in delay, vibrato, and a small but powerful speaker. Despite its compact size, the Stylosette can fill a room with rich sound, making it perfect for home, studio, or on-the-go performances.
Buzz, twist, and warp every note in the palm of your hand—anywhere! The touch-sensitive keypad responds to the lightest touch, letting you glide, tap, or experiment with playing techniques. And with its battery-powered design, you can take it anywhere—the park, the studio, or even on the road.
Easy To Play
– This retro cassette-style synthesizer is played by sliding your finger along the touch-sensitive metal surface. Each segment on the surface plays a different note. Add vibrato and delay, and change octaves with ease.
Create Amazing Sounds Anywhere
– Experience our analog sound with our touch keyboard cassette. It features a built-in speaker, delay effects, vibrato, and a three octave range—all without the need for a stylus.
Pocket-Sized & Portable
– At just over 10cm wide, the Stylosette is pocket-sized and portable. It runs on 2 x AAA batteries and features a built-in speaker and headphone jack – so you can play it everywhere you go. Batteries, cables and accessories are included.
Wild Keyboard: Turn Objects into Instruments
The Stylosette’s expansion ports let you turn everyday objects into playable keys. You can create unique sound setups using conductive materials to interact with your environment.
How It Works
- Attach conductive objects to the expansion ports using the included crocodile clips.
- Hold P14 (Keypad Common) with one hand to complete the circuit.
- Touch connected objects to play notes.
- Experiment with metals, fruits, water, and even pencil-drawn touchpads.
Why Conductivity?
- Conductive materials like metal, fruit, or plants allow electricity to flow, triggering notes.
- The human body is conductive, making your touch a key part of the circuit.
- Different materials affect tone and response, adding unique textures to your sound.
Building Custom Setups
Pentatonic Scale Setup
For a harmonious playing experience, connect five objects to P01, P03, P05, P08, and P10 (C, D, E, G, A). This scale removes tension-creating intervals, ensuring all notes sound good together—perfect for improvisation.
P14 – The Key to Connectivity
P14 (Keypad Common) completes the electrical loop, allowing signals to travel between connected objects and the Stylosette. Without this connection, the circuit remains incomplete, and no sound will play.
Exploration & Experimentation
- Try objects with different conductivity levels to hear subtle sound variations.
- Combine octave and vibrato keypads for layered effects.
- Use conductive ink or graphite drawings to create custom touch surfaces.
